Has anyone configured the EVENT for Ldap Authentication

2008.3 (DEV)
Oracle 10g
IE6 & IE7

Hello:
I am trying to configure the ldap authentication (I got it working once before - cant remember how)

1) Datasource configured and TEST CONNECT SUCESSFUL
2) Fetch returns correct values
3) Loging Event ENABLED
    a) Step 1 = External Auth  option = uid=#LoginId#,ou=People,o=company.com
    b) Step 2 = Import Person
4) Directory Integration = On

When the Directory Integration is OFF, I can log in with my user id as my password.
When ON, neither my id or password works...

P.S. I have to go turn off the record "LDAPLookup" in order to get back in.

Any Idea's
Daniel

Yes, it works, however we use SSO on top of that

there is a bypass URL

\RequestCenter\application.do?Astalavista=true (unless you have changed it) this URL will enable you to use your app id to login

whats in the logs?

Daniel,

Not having seen your LDIF files, I am assuming that the BindDN for external user authentication has the login id in it. The whole string needs to match. The example in the Directory Integration User guide has

Prefix#LoginId#Suffix

Hi all...

Thanks for the GREAT input, it helped out...

It appears that I am running into some conflict with a 2006.7 customization and 2008.
Bacause as soon as I removed the "Import Person" event the login works perfectly.

Thanks again
Daniel
