Order another RequestCenter service using HTTP Adapter

Hello All,

Has anyone attempted to try and utilize the nS http adapter to order another RequestCenter service via the ServiceLink RAPI?

We have some services which actually direct you to order other services based on responses provided.  So instead of having these customer complete another order form, I'd like to try an automate the submission of the second request.  I've been able to successfully post the http message and order another service, but I've had no luck in reading the response.  I see there's an outbound parameter, "ProcessResponse", which per the ServiceLink User Guide provides the result of the post as an inbound message. Given this option, it's not clear on which adapter should be used for the inbound message.  Also since this response doesn't include channel id, we can't configure the inbound transformation appropriately. Is there a way to bypass or feed the channel id since the message was provided by the outbound message.

Thanks in advance,

What version of RC are you on?  We are on RC2008.3 but have installed a custom adapter HTTPIWA2 (becomes standard in 9). It has a parameter that allows you to store the channel id, so it manages that directly. Not sure if that would help your particualr situation, but the regular HTTP adapter doesn't do that.

I just checked the documentation and it says you need newscale ServiceLink 2007 or higher. You may need to check with Newscale support/professional services for version compatibility information. I found that i needed this because a webservice I was calling needed authentication ability (userid/password), which the HTTP adapter couldn't do. I tried passing au

I'm actually building this now for 2007.3, but will be also working to move it to our 2008.3 installation.  Was the custom adapter provided by nS?

Hi Patti,

We also have similar implementation of Ordering another service from the existing service. Can you please share your implementation, which would be helpful to me in moving ahead. We are at RC2008.3.

Thanks in advance.
