Status updates within requisition from other requisitions

How to pull requisition header data into a service form.

We've got the requirement as part of our rollout to

We've got the requirement as part of our rollout to the plant department to somehow group very disparate services which make up a single request.

Basically anyone can submit a Request for Plant. Our central planning department then determines how that request is to be fulfilled. There are a number of separate processes that may be triggered depending on their evaluation of the request, eg:

  • Hire permanent plant
  • Hire temporary plant
  • Buy plant
  • Mobilise plant to/from site
  • Financial asset modification
  • Operational asset modification

Each of these subset processes has a very distinct authorisation path, touching different areas of the business. Our first thought was to create the parent Plant Request, which contained an active form component which held reference data to the other requests that need to be generated eg:

Hire Permanent Plant:

  • Req No
  • Date Created
  • Status
  • URL to req if possible

We thought we might write this info from the child service to a table, then have a rule within the parent service lookup the table for updates.

Has anyone tried to do anything like this before? Have you tried alternatives to this? We are currently investigating serviceLink in order to request the services. Any information would be greatly appreciated

Thanks, meghan
