Users receving blank screen after submitting the order form

Hello,

Some newScale users receive blank screnn with javascript error in the status bar , after they submit the order form. The javascript error is "Access is Denied". Users are using Internet Explorer version 6.0. newScale requestcenter is hosted on Websphere environment. Please let us know if anyone has seen this type of error before and what could be the possible solution. Attaching the screenshot of error message here.

We found the cause:  the concurrent database connection setting in Websphere.  When the number of concurrent users exceeds this setting, during "submit", newScale application tries to connect and to create the requisition, users would get the blank screen with the javascript error.

Hi Mihir,

Are you doing any data manipulation at the onSubmit event?  Are you retrieving or posting data to external datasources (ones outside of the RequestCenter database)?

Mihir,

ISF/JavaScript can work in conjunction with different datasources to allow you to retrieve and post data during any type of form event (onLoad, onSubmit, etc).

It there a requirement that you were unable to fulfill that you think this would help with?  If so, let us know what the requirement is and we'll try to help.

Hello James,

On the submit action, newScale form does not connect to any database other than RequestCenter db. Please share with us your efforts to solve this if you also have faced similar problem earlier.

Hi Morgen,

 I assume  WAS version you are using is 6.0.2.25 or above and you have configured Session Management. The possible cause maybe sometimes one app server routing Submit request (during the user's session) to other app server and the other app server not having that user's session data. In websphere Admin console, click Application Servers -> appserver1-> web container settings -> session management ->Distributed environment settings. Select the 'None' as option.
