Windows OS Provioning Isuue w/ Cisco IAC SE 3.0.1

  Hi All,

I have a pretty sharp Partner in Brazil who is having an issue provioning Windows with IAC SE 3.0.1.

They can provision Linux and ESX hosts via CSP. Has anyone encoutered this issue before? Is it a known bug?

Here is the issue;

Drew,

We tried to install Windows using CSP or templates, but we had problems with both.

Because CSP is an OEM, maybe we could work with templates only. This type of provisioning is important for us.

Using templates we were able to deploy VMs with Windows 2008 R2. The CPO informs "succesful" status, but the OS is not customized with the IP address (plus mask and gateway) or the password for admin account that we choose on portal.

We observed the whole process at the orchestrator and noticed a weird behavior at the end: right after the NIC installation, the next step should be the NIC configuration. That step is OS dependent and there are 3 possible Branches in the flow: windows,linux and unknown. For some reason the orchestrator takes us to the unknown branch where no NIC configuration does not happen.

Regards,

Pedro Morgado

This sounds almost like http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/products/ps11869/products_tech_note09186a0080bcb900.shtml

However, we'd need to see the XML sent from CP to PO to be sure that it's the same case
