When will Cisco stop releasing software for the 4235 sensor?

The 4235 will continue to run all future version of 5.x software. Cisco will release signature updates for about 18 months after the release of 6.0 (last November I believe), so you should be able to run your 4235's till at least May 2008 or thereabouts. Cisco has not made an offical End Of Life call on 5.x, but once it does, your days of getting fresh signature updates for your 4235's are numbered.

Thanks. Is there anything formal from Cisco on the issue? The only think I could find states basically that the 4235 is dead:

"End of Software Maintenance Releases Date

The last date that Cisco Engineering may release any final software maintenance releases or bug fixes. After this date, Cisco Engineering will no longer develop, repair, maintain, or test the product software.

May 31st, 2006"
