AIP-SSM offset time

Hi All,

I have SSM 10 with ASA 5510. in ASA, I've configured NTP server and it shows correct time. In IPS, I didn't configure NTP server because I assume it gets the time from ASA, and there is no summer time enable in SSM. But it shows one hour off from the time in ASA. any suggestion would be very appreciated.

thanks

Alex

Hi

Do you have summer time configured on ASA. There may be a bug when this happens as SSM may not spring forward when summer time changes on the ASA. If you enable summer time on SSM and not on ASA then it should work fine.

The AIP-SSM module has a seperate processor and clock. It needs it's time set seperately from the ASA.

You can use NTP on the AIP-SSM too.
