Hello all,
I want to ask you some question about ASA AIP-SSM module licensing.
For example, when we want to purchase a ASA 5520 with AIP-10 module, does it have a default AIP license to work without upgrading to new signatures?
Out of box, when you open a session to AIP sensor it returns a notification that the sensor doesn't have any valid license. Can it still inspect the traffic by using defaul signatures without any upgrading licese in this case?
Thank you for your assistance.
Kind regards,
Serhat

Yes, the sensor will function correctly without a license.
The license is Only needed for the installation of signature updates.
So without a license you are just limited to the already installed set of signatures.

There is a demo or 30 day license that you can install until you put the device under maintenance.
