CSA variables

In version 6.49, I saw the introduction of the parenthesis to some variables in the built-in rule:

Pre-649 Example: @(system)

649 Example: @system

Not all rules have parenthesis with their variables - just some. Is there a benefit to the use of parenthesis?

Re: CSA variables

Thanks for the link, it was helpful for other reasons, but doesn't address why in v649 sometimes the variables have parenthesis, and sometimes they do not.

In v616, the variables did not have parenthesis, but in v649 some do (my original post had it backwards). Is one way preferred in some/all cases?

Re: CSA variables

I noticed this too. I think they started doing this just to make the variable more visually separated from literal strings. I don't think it makes a difference one way or another. Open one of the rules that doesn't have parenthesis, re-save the rule, and see if the parenthesis are added.
