Are the ASA inspect statements (http, ftp, sunrpc, etc) a duplication of functionality available in the AIP-SSM IPS module? Asked another way, can/should any of the inspect statements be turned off when the AIP-SSM is present?

The inspects of the ASA can co-exist with the AIP-SSM. This module is considered like a separate piece of hardware so it shouldn't create conflicts with the inspects of the ASA. The inspects do a different job than the job done by the module.

Thanks. I know pretty well what the IPS does. Is there a link to CCO that will show me precisely what each of the inpsect statements do?
