how to restart sensor

Hi,

After shutdown the sensor from IME gui under configuration > sensor mgmt, sensor was accessable only from console.

Can't even ping to it.

Get on the CLI and issue a "reset" command.

I have never use reset on ips.

Would it wipe out all and set to default?

I don't want to lose the configuration.

This will only 'reset' (reboot) the appliance. It will not have any affect on the configuration. To shutdown you can use 'reset powerdown'.
