I have a ASA 5510 with a IPS that has duplicate ip address.

And now I can't log into the IPS using Cisco IME. Any way to change the IP address on the IPS from the ASA?

The right command to use is:

session 1 ip address 10.0.0.12 255.255.255.0

Got it!

sensor# configure terminal

sensor(config)# service host

sensor(config-hos)# network-settings

sensor(config-hos-net)# host-ip xx.xx.xx.xx/24,xx.xx.xx.xx

I managed to shutdown the ips which is good because the ip address conflict is with a vm host. Now if I could change the ip address without tuning it back on that would be great. Or somehow copy the config edit it maybe in note pad and reload it.

Why not change the IP of the other divice, log in to the IPS change its address and then change the other device back.?
