Hello,
Sorry for the question but I am having and IDS 4215 and I cannot log into it. I am using Cisco Rollover cable and CRT or Hyper terminal and I am wondering what it could be. The same cable I am using for PIX , SW, Router and works fine.
Thanks a lot for your help.
Regards,
Mike

Hi Mike,
IDS console is similar to other cisco boxes.
baud rate: 9600
data bits: 8
parity: none
stop bits: 1
port: com1, com2 or if you used USB serial, depends (between Com3 to Com5).
Anyway, just check the pin inside the console port, in case it a bit loose. Other than that, could be hardware.

Alternatively, try to access via its mgt port. Use either cross-over cable and connect it direct to your pc/laptop, or use hub.
IP Address (default address of sensor): 10.1.9.201
Network Mask (default): 255.255.255.0
Default Route: 10.1.9.1
Web Server Port (default is 443)
