IPS 4240 -> 4500 via GBIC

We are trying to connect our new 4240 to our 4500 using a copper GBIC, but it seems that whenever we create the span session on the switch, it changes the interface state from up/up to up/down. Any ideas?

Try these steps:

check the physical cable.

Check the duplex setting in GBIC interfaces

i will check these things....its an IPS4240 though, not an IDSM
