login failure to aip ssm-20

Hello,

I have two firewalls namely cisco asa 5520 with AIP ssm-20 IPS modules built into them.  I am trying to use the IPS modules built into them

Neither of them will let me login to the IPS:

session 1 prompts me to login so i login with default cisco / cisco but its not working

i am getting the same error on both devices but the two firewalls have been up and running for quite a while and are causing no problems

any ideas where i am going wrong on this one?

All the user guides are also saying cisco / cisco

You are correct, the default usernaem/password is cisco/cisco. Check the status of your AIP-SSM:

asa# show module 1 details

If that looks good, it's time for a password recovery or a reimage:

Yeah, the software version is good enough to let you log in (although you'll want to update the version to one of the E4 releases to apply the latest signature pack once you get access).

Your sensor looks like it's running. I would try a password recovery.
