Shutdown of IDSM-2

Good day,

We are scheduling Power maintenance work in the next few weeks. We will be shutting down our 6509 switches. Should we also shutdown the IDSM-2 blades in our switches??

Ir you are on the IDSM module itself, you can issue a "reset powerdown".

The reset powerdown command performs a shut down but does not remove power from IDSM-2. To remove power from IDSM-2, use the set module power down module_number command from the Chassis CLI.
