Recently whe i am trying to install the signature updates for some my IDS box using Cisco works dueing signature update on of my sensor not responded in time so i deleted the sensor from the updated list.now how can i vew my sensor in my next signature update list
By Ciscoworks you must mean Cisco Security Manager (CSM). Some updates take a painfully long time to complete (like the dreaded 5 to 6 upgrade on a 4215, some never finish). If your sensor is alive there are two things you can do to clear it's status in CSM:
1. Rediscover your sensor using "Inventory only" This will keep your CSM settings but clear all the CSM pending updates.
2. Delete and rediscover your sensor. This is a more drastic method as you have to repopulate all your CSM assigned policies and settings.
