To prevent the SDP mode from being set to inactive in a multiple-hold scenario, set the Duplex Streaming Enabled cluster-wide service parameter (System > Service \ Parameters) to True.
I am sure many of us have used the above parameter to quickly fix issues relating to one-way audio or call drops during hold/resume with an off-net party
I am trying to understand how this is different from Send Send-Recv parameter in the SIP profile for a given SIP trunk?
Also what exactly does "multiple-hold scenario" means. I am unable to find any documentation or examples of SIP messaging which occurs with this and whether these two are mutually exclusive serving a different purpose, are redundant or one is better than the other. If anyone has some explanation on the duplex streaming mechanism or any ladder diagrams, kindly share.
Thank you.
