Linksys Switch for voice vlan

Hi,

I have a Call Manager Express 4.1 running on a Cisco 2811 router. I have an 8 port switch module in the router but I want to add more phones.

I bought a Linksys SRW2024P 24port PoE switch. On the cisco switch module, I have voice vlan 100 configured, access vlan 200. The port I am using to cascade to the Linksys switch is set up as a trunk and using vlan 200 as native.

IE.

switchport trunk native vlan 200

switchport mode trunk

switchport voice vlan 100

switchport access vlan 200

My question is, is it possible to set up the non-Cisco switch (ie. the SRW2024P) to use the voice vlan feature like in the cisco products?

I want to do this, first not to be tied to using certain ports for IP telephony only and other for data only, and also because I have some phones like the 7970 which have built in pc port in them which would need access to vlan 200.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Alex

Since the Linksys does not support CDP the phone will not receive the voice vlan info. You could try conneting the phone to a trunk port on the Linksys and select the vlan to use for the pc.
