Opinions - Remote Sites over DSL

Seems to common for remotes sites to run over DSL/Cable in a Centralized model(when budget is low and customer accepts "no guarantee" on voice quality). Can people share their expierences with registering gateway to CCM (over VPN tunnel/DSL).

Have you encountered problems with gateways un-registering?

Has voice-quality been acceptable (when appropriate QOS is configured)?

What other issues or advice might you have?

I currently have 1 site connecting back using VPN over DSL. In my experience. gateway registration, call signaling voicemail and auto attendant work fine. Voicemail and AA are essentially 1 way conversations and the quality is generally acceptable. Voice quality dialing phone to phone across the VPN varies, but many times is not good. I have users dial out through the PSTN when dialing another site as opposed to using extensions across the tunnel.
