Voice Gateway with FXO and FXS

Hi,

I have a scenario where CUCM-A is connected to voice gateway-1 installed with FXO card and these FXO cards are connected to FXS card on voice gateway-2 which is connected to CUCM-B.

I have 3 below queries please answer.

An IP phone which is registered to CUCM-A can call to an IP phone which is registered on CUCM-B or I need to have a FXS card on VG-1 which will connecting to FXO card on VG-2

An ip phone which is registered to CUCM-B can call to CUCM-A IP phone

I want calling to and from both the CUCM A/B ip phones

Hi,

1) CUCM-A (FXO) ---> CUCM-B (FXS) Will call the dialled number in B

2) CUCM-B (FXS) ---> CUCM-A (FXO) You will need to use PLAR on the FXO and

choose an ip phone or hunt pilot for all incoming calls on A

If you want both ways to be the same you will

need to use ISDN BRi/PRI or E&M signalling which of course will

need different cards in your gateways.

You could also use IP as SIP or H323 trunks then you dont need the gateways at all.
