Hey guys. I'm having an issue with an H.323 gateway and long call-setup delay. It is taking around 10 seconds from the last digit input to the time it dials out. The calls are being handed to a Call Manager for processing to the PSTN. I've checked everything and can't find where I can minimize the delay. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

first thing to always check is dial plan overlapping, probably you have something in there that causes this to expect more digits
if still no avail modify the T_302 timer
HTH
java

This is my dial-peer voip session to hand call to CCM. There is this one and the another one with preference 2 for the subscriber.
dial-peer voice 10 voip
preference 1
destination-pattern 9T
voice-class codec 100
voice-class h323 1
session target ipv4:##.##.##.##
dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric
fax-relay ecm disable
fax protocol pass-through g711ulaw
ip qos dscp cs5 media
no vad
From the call manager it looks good. If I dial the same numbers over the cisco phones they dial out immediatly. What gives?

I figured it out. The destination pattern 9T is not specific enough and it was waiting for more digit inputs. I changed it to 9[1].......... and 9[2-9]......... and it's all good now.
Thanks for your help.

You can also set the interdigit time out under the telephony services.
timeout interdigit 7
