2651xm VoIP GW basic questions

Hi,

I am lost among all sorts of port.

controller T1 0/0, I guess it refers to HW piece.

interface Serial0/0:23, This is logic port? what 0/0:23 stand for?

voice-port 0/0:23, what is that 0/0:23 again? underneath it is 23 ISDN-voice channels. Cisco refer a port as a T1 trunk?

and then,I have this again in ALL pots diap-peer:

dial-peer voice xx pots

port 0/0:23

Help!

Thansk.

Re: 2651xm VoIP GW basic questions

controller T1 0/0 refers to the hardware itself

int s0/0:23 is the D-channel for the PRI (this is where your ISDN config is performed)

the dial-peer configuration indicates that calls that match whatever destination pattern you have configured are to use voice-port 0/0:23 (your PRI).

hope that helps
