Trying to setup a connection between an external paging system TOA BG-1060.
It's connected to an FXO port on the VWIC and we have a 4-digit number assigned to the paging system so when we dial the paging extension it gets sent out the specific FXO port connected to the paging system.
I've debugged the call setup and comes back with a disconnected code 34, which means there is no circuit.
Just wondering what is the typical setup to an external paging setup or how to proceed with the disconnect code 34 (no circuit)..
You first need to figure out if the paging integration requires FXO or FXS (trunk vs. station) port, if it is in fact FXO, then you need to determine if it is loop or group start. With ground start the parity is sensitive, so ensure your wiring is proper.
Thank you for the information, were would I find that particular. I found a document for the TOA BG1060 however the most it provides is electrical signal strengths.
The odd thing about this whole, thing is it was working a few days ago (Prior to adding additional phones to the location) however the configuration has been rolled back completely since that most recent change. So I am going to assume the wiring is ok to the paging system.
The TOA BG1060 is just an amplifier. It needs a controller to connect to an FXO port that will detect the ringing voltage and close the circuit. You can't just connect these directly together. You need some sort of paging controller inbetween.
