3 PRIs with Slip Secs & Errored Secs

I have a new telephony system that was implemented yesterday with Cisco Call Managers / Unity / Contact Center, etc.

We also have xMedius Faxing Solution as well.

In a nutshell, our overall calls appear to be working fine.  However, our xMedius faxes work 90% of the time but other times it comes in half page missing.
I believe I can relate this to the slips / errors on the 3 PRIs.

My config on the PRIs as the Carrier is Master:  I'm not as familiar with the clocking, etc.....

network-clock-participate wic 0

network-clock-participate wic 1

network-clock-select 1 T1 0/0/0  *** Do I need this ? ***

controller T1 0/0/0

framing esf

linecode b8zs

cablelength short 110

pri-group timeslots 1-24

!

controller T1 0/0/1

framing esf

linecode b8zs

cablelength short 110

pri-group timeslots 1-24

!

controller T1 0/1/0

framing esf

linecode b8zs

cablelength short 110

pri-group timeslots 1-24

Thanks,
Greg

Greg,

Usually FAX issues like you described are caused by clock slips

You config looks good to me.

YES - YOU DO NEED THE COMMAND YOU HIGHLIGHTED

Veify if you are seeing the clocks

show network

This should display where to clock is being sourced

show controller T1 0/0/0

This should display the counters including any clock slipped errors

With my 3 PRIs, it appears I got rid of the slips / errors on my first 2 PRIs.

However, I still get errors o nthe thrid PRI (0/1/0). Doest this look correct?

network-clock-participate wic 0

network-clock-participate wic 1

network-clock-select 1 T1 0/0/0 *** Do I need this for every PRI ? ***

network-clock-select 2 T1 0/0/1 *** Do I need this for every PRI ? ***

network-clock-select 3 T1 0/1/0 *** Do I need this for every PRI ? ***

Here is the sh network clock

Network Clock Configuration
  ---------------------------
Priority      Clock Source    Clock State     Clock Type

     1               T1 0/0/0        GOOD            T1
     2               T1 0/0/1        GOOD            T1
     3               T1 0/1/0        GOOD            T1
    11               Backplane       GOOD            PLL

  Current Primary Clock Source
  ---------------------------
Priority      Clock Source    Clock State     Clock Type

     1          T1 0/0/0        GOOD            T1

Thanks for the input.

Greg,

Yes - this looks good and well done for adding

network-clock-select 2 T1 0/0/1

network-clock-select 3 T1 0/1/0

Now your router should be using the Priority 1 clock from T1 0/0/0

If that link fails the clock moves on to Priority 2 T1 0/0/1 etc

I assume that all 3 PRIs are from the same provider.

If you are seeing slips on 0/1/0, I reckon the issue is with the T1 line from the SP.

All 3 lines should be in sync.

Alex
