7912 IP phones losing "Local Directory" option

Hi All,

I have an access-list configured on my CCME Ethernet port.Since applying it my 7912's do not show the Local Directory. My access-list allows/permits TFTP.Also, the 7912 phones cannot upgrade the code when the access-list is applied on the CCME ethernet. When I do the input log on the access list I see different UDP port numbers in the very high range of 52257,56373 and so on.What are these UDP ports? What is the range to permit on my access list?

Thank you.

Sibusiso.

It may be unrelated to the problem with access list, but check that you are running latest code on the 7912 that is 8.0(2). In my case, older firmware caused unavailability of local directory menu.

Re: 7912 IP phones losing "Local Directory" option

Hi Belilacqua,

Thank you for your response.

I have already upgraded the FM to 8.0.2.As soon you apply the access to Ethernet port of the CCME router and reset the IP Phone, the "Local Directory" menu is unavaliable.

Regards,

Sibusiso.
