is there any way to make a 7912G IP Phone work in home environment? simple dsl/cable connection with a soho-class (non-cisco) router... does it have a standalone mode, or call manager is a must? if so, can i install it on the client or what? i'm kinda puzzled with this, some pls help me out! thanks
You can use the 7912 with CME on a low end router, for example 2610XM, with the right IOS.
The other option is to convert the phone to SIP and configure it with your SIP provider, now I've never done this, but there are several articles on www.voip-info.org that could provide you more information.
