I have a 7914 that works when I connect it to my CM version 8.5, but will not work when connected to my CME version 4.1(0). Is there any way to reset the 7914 to factory default?
I have the proper load command under Telephony Services and the proper command under tftp-server.
Nothing seems to help.

Hi,
There are quite a few bugs for 7914,
Not sure if this one is may be affecting you.
CSCsw25514 Bug Details
7914 fails to re-register after 'reset' is issued on CME 4.3.
Symptom:
On CME 4.3/7.0, when issuing a 'reset' for a 7960 with a 7914 sidecar, the 7914 will fail to re-register to CME and will stay with all buttons red.
Conditions:
This is observed on CME 4.3 and 7.0 for the 7960 with the 7914.
Workaround:
Downgrade to 12.4(15)T7 (CME 4.1) where the issue is not seen. Another workaround is to rebuild the CNF files with the below commands. This will allow for the device to be reset a single time and register properly. Successive resets will fail until the CNF files are rebuilt again.
CME#configure terminal
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
CME(config)#telephony-service
CME(config-telephony)#no create cnf-files
CNF files deleted
CME(config-telephony)#create cnf-files

Hi,
7914s do work with CME
Your version 4.1.0 needs at least loads file S00104000100.sbn
Under your ephone config you need something like this :-

Hi and Thank you,
I have already included these commands. Plus, I have the proper tftp-server flash: command and the load 7914 under Telephony-services.
The issue is that the 7914 does not get past all red lights on. It seems to never load its firmware. I also did a debug tftp, and I do not see the 7914 looking for its load.

Hey Alex,
The above workaround did not work either. I followed the instructions, and had no results. All the lights were still red, and the 7914 did not reset.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Scott

Scott,
I dont see anything wrong here at all.
I can only suggest that you raise a TAC case.
