7920 audio quality problems

Hello everybody,

This is the thing :

We have one central site, plus three secondary ones.

The CallManager 4.2(3) is located in this central site.

The other sites are connected to the central site by a unique 100Mbps optic fiber (metropolitan network, one per site), via 2801 SRST routers.

Our 5 CP-7920 on the central site work fine : no audio problems while calling the outside.

But, every CP-7920 located on the other sites has the same problem; eq. when a user wants to make an external call, he hears some crackles only when "speaking", while it works fine (no "noise") when not being speaking.

The thing is, when an external call arrives on the CP-7920, everything is just working fine.

Can anyone help me about this ?

Hi,

Did you solve your problem?

Because i have a smilar problem with CCM 5.04 and 7920 (firmware 3.01).

When 7920 in remote site (using G729r8 codec) makes an external call trough BRI interface in a 2821 router in central site i hear continiously crackles noise (speaking or not). If change to G711alaw codec i don't have problems but i can't because of bandwidth.

And also if external call (using G729r8) goes trough E1 connection in same 2821 i don't have problems.

Any sugestions?
