7925G IP Phone automatically downgrades firmware

We manually upgraded a 7925 with the latest firmware in order to perform some testing prior to rolling out the new firmware. However, after upgrading the phone it reconnects to the Communication Manager and then downgrades it's firmware to the level on the server. Is it possible to prevent this phone from downgrading it's firmware?

Yes. Go to that specific phone configuration page and set the phone load explicitly to the one you want to use.
