Is there any docs on how to configure the hard buttons, such as messages, and call park,  on a 7931 ?   CM is 7.1.5, if that matters.

thanks

Hey Pete,

The 7931 uses PLK's (Programable Line keys) to assign these features

Programmable line keys support up to 27 features on line buttons (see Table 44-5). Use the Phone Button Template Configuration window to assign programmable line keys. It provides the appropriate configurable feature for the phone model. After configuring the phone button template, you must assign the phone button template to the phone by using Phone Configuration (reset is required). See "Configuring Phone Button Templates" and "Modifying Phone Button Template Button Items" sections in the Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration Guide.

Thanks for the quick reply.   perhaps Im asking the wrong question.  I see the PLK assigned, but does the messages PLK take its config from the same phone service as other phones do with the "messages" button?

Also, I have a PLK assigned for call park.  The softkey works great on other phones in the site, but pressing this PLK results in "no numbers assigned",  which is why I was asking if I had to do somehting else.

Thanks

What I am finding out is that if I use the Park SoftKey, it works fine.  If I use the Call Park PLK, it doesnt.

Is it possible that the PLK was set up as Directed Call Park?

Cheers!
