7940/60 Bad Kate File

Hallo,

i have install the last Locale (Germany cm-locale-de_DE-4.1.3.4100) on CCM 4.1.3 and the 7940/60 Phones say "Bad Kate File" and "Error updating locale" and the User Interface is English.

Have any Ideas ?

Hi,

I had the same problem with the latest Locale for CCM 5.1.1 (cm-locale-de_DE-5.1.1.0-1)

The problem in this case was a malformed '7960-kate.xml' file. It contains a duplicated of the first four lines of the '-Tag', so the XML-Code is malformed (see also attached file Kate_Errors.txt!).

Solution:

After installing the Locale I've downloaded the 7960-kate.xml file from the CCM TFTP directory, edited the file (removed the duplicated line), saved it and uploaded it back to tftp/german_germany directory (CCM5.1 is a Linux appliance).

On the Windows based CCM 4.1 you should be able to edit the file directly with notepad (but make a backup-copy before!)
