7941G support for Non-Cisco call manager

Hi,

I have used 7940 with Non-Cisco callmanager but now iam in need of configuring 7941g for Non cisco call manager.

In Admin guide its mentioned that line settings in phone can be configured using cisco call manager and Proxy address cannot be modified.

But i need to hard code SIP Proxy ip,user name and password in the Phone. Is there way to do it.

Only the 7940/7960 have RFC3261 compliant firmware images. All later models are only intended to work with Cisco UCM even if you load SIP on them because they use Cisco-proprietary headers to provide features that are not in any proposed/draft standard yet.

It may be possible to get it to register with a third-party proxy but you will need a TFTP server, a text editor, and some patience because the behavior is not documented well: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Standalone+Cisco+7941%252F7961+without+a+local+PBX
