7961G keeps registering repeatedly

Two 7961G phones on the same switch keep registering repeatedly on their own. I didn't find any strange settings with the switch but then again I am fairly new to Cisco.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,

Andy

Re: 7961G keeps registering repeatedly

Can you check the phones are getting an address from the router and there isn't a rogue dhcp server around.

Re: 7961G keeps registering repeatedly

No rogue dhcp going on anywhere on the network. Any other thoughts?

Thanks,

Andy

Send show interface for the ports involved.

Re: 7961G keeps registering repeatedly

Also, they are both 7931 models, not 7961. Sorry.

Re: 7961G keeps registering repeatedly

Allright go ahead and upgrade firmware. I haven't checked what the latest is.

Re: 7961G keeps registering repeatedly

Hi,

If you havent tried, please perform a factory reset.

that has helped in one of our phones doing similar things.

Regards
