I have reconfigured the service variables on a CME system to change the times the display is active.
This works fine however when the display turns off overnight as expected there is no way to override and get the screen back should you need it to see an inbound caller ID e.t.c.
Does anyone know a way of doing this? I have tried both 7x and 8x firmware on the phones and the touchscreen button seems inactive on both which I would expect to spring the screen back to life.
Any help would be appreciated.

If the phone is ringing, just hit the far right button with two squares on it. It turns the screen back on when in "sleep" mode

Hi Lee,
My understanding of this function is that once you have configured the "display active" times in CME there is no override :( Maybe you could tweak the "service phone" settings as a work-around using the "idletimeout" and "displayonduration" parameters;
Something like;
Router(config-telephony)# service phone daysDisplayNotActive Blank (Delete 1,7 default)
Router(config-telephony)# service phone displayOnTime Blank (Delete 07:30 default)
Router(config-telephony)# service phone displayOnDuration 24:00
Router(config-telephony)# service phone displayIdleTimeout 00:30
Just a thought!
