7975-G IP Phones stuck in "updating locale" when checking-in/out

Hi we are having issues with phones (model :7975-G).

CUCM version 7.1.3.10000-11

Phone firmware version in Device Defaults in CUCM - SCCP75.8-4-3S

We are in a hospitality environment where guests check-in and check-out daily.

We have about 500 of these phones throughout the facility.

Randomly some phones are stuck in "updating locale" when checking-out.

We then have to power cycle the phones (removing cable physically) or shut/no shut POE ports.

There is a possibility that we are hitting bug CSCs137865.

Anyone knowing a solution for that.

Sada,

CSCs137865 is not a valid Bug ID, you might want to double check.

Further, the phone is running on very old firmware, why not update it to latest & see if it helps ?

latest firmware is 9.2.3 available here for download.

CSCs137865 is not a valid Bug ID, you might want to double check.

Further, the phone is running on very old firmware, why not update it to latest & see if it helps ?
