Hi,

I've dowloaded the file, but my problem i can't find or i don't know the file for the SCCP, for French Language

From documents, i' should have a file named : gh-sccp.jar for the 8941, but  I don't see it in the French file.

The file are :

  • 7921-dictionary.xml
  • 7921-font.dat
  • 7921-kate.utf-8.xml
  • 7921-kate.xml
  • be-sccp.jar
  • be-sip.jar
  • CME-locale-fr_FR-French-8.8.2.4.tar.cfg
  • g3-tones.xml
  • gd-sip.jar
  • gh-sip.jar  ===> for the 8941 SIP. but my phone is SCCP.
  • gp-sccp.jar
  • gp-sip.jar
  • ipc-sccp.jar
  • ipc-sip.jar
  • lk-sip.jar
  • mk-sccp.jar
  • mk-sip.jar
  • rp-sccp.jar
  • rtl-sccp.jar
  • tags_file
  • tc-sccp.jar
  • tc-sip.jar
  • td-sccp.jar
  • td-sip.jar
  • utf8_tags_file

Sorry,

This is the request in the TFTp events:

Feb  2 07:06:29.598: TFTP: Looking for French_France/gb-sccp-sip.jar

Feb  2 07:06:30.866: TFTP: Looking for France/g3-tones.xml

the G3 tones is in the TFTP serverr but the gb-sccp-sip.jar is not there.

Did you get the file. Tell me did you finish with your phone. Me I am still in the same position .

Here's the log file from the TFTPD

You need to configure tftp-server correctly.

I think that I do it but  I do not know if you can help me having this file to let the tftpd continue downloading the rest of files

File needed "gb-sccp-sip.jar"

It is contained in the rar file mentioned above.

Hi,

I see that you're still experiencing problems with the locale as per your previous post. Please refer to the CME guide, particularly the section titled Using the Locale Installer in CME 7.0.1 or later. You need to download the full local tar files for 9.1 located below and extract the file locally on your pc. There are a number of individual country specific tar files for specific localisation, you simply need to upload the individual tar file of your choice to flash, there is no specific requirement to extract the files to flash. Follow the guideline for configuring cnf-files per phone and set user-defined locale, these are extract to the system/its for you now:

Good Morning,

Please I would like to know how you can help to get this file. In my porject I had  five 7942  to convert to SIP . I am done with this model now it is the turn for the CP-8941 and while running the process, The phone requires this file "gb-sccp-sip.jar" I have download the firmware from the cisco web site but to get the file that contains this needed file, I do not have  the sufficient privillege. I have 6 days to fail or pass this project.

Thank you.

From what I know (I can be wrong), Cisco has never released language files for 79xx phones in SIP mode.

Localization SCCP mode is no problem, as long you have a support contract to access downloads.
