We have an issue with the 9971s registering to CUCM whenever we have a power outage. After power has been restored to the building many of the 9971s do not register back to CUCM. They need to be unplugged and plugged back in to complete registration.
What's worse is that some 9971s start the power up sequence and then just power off or just continue to power cycle and never register even aftter being unplugged and plugged back in. I can't even access the settings options at this point. The only resolution is to RMA the phone.
We do use the 9971 camera and I have tried removing the camera and registering the phone w/out the camera after the incident but encounter the same issue. The phone does not register.
-This happens to both PoE and non-PoE
-We also have 7975s and this never happens to the 7975 phones.
