9971 phone unable to make external calls

hi all,

i have in my environemnt CUCM 7.1.5, an H323 Gateway and IP Phones (7911.7945 and 9971). all phone are operating in SCCP except 9971 wich is in SIP.

i configured route Patterns for externals Calls, all phones are capable of making externals Calls except Cisco 9971.

is this an SIP issue?, should i configure sepcials routes for those phones?

Hi Bill,

These should just work like any other phones.

What happens when the call fails? What kind of busy tone do you hear?

Have you verified and checked CSS and Partitions?

You could use the dialed number analyzer (DNA) on https:///dna . Make a test using some of the phones and see if it says route this pattern or block this pattern.

If you're using more than 1 node in the cluster, see if registering the phone to the same node as your gateway makes any difference.

finaly the issue have been resolved... i had to check MTP on the Gateway configuration and disable G722 adverting on the phone configuration.
