I have two 7920's at a remote location. They have the same firmware and appear to be configured identically. However, when side-by-side, one gets strong signals from both access points (relative to distance) but the other gets no signal unless it is directly under the access point. I suspecting a hardware problem involving the antenna, but I wanted to check to see if anyone else was have similiar problems.
If it matters, we are using CCM 4.3.

What type of AP do you have? Are you using a wireless controller to manage the AP? If it's a standalone AP, can you please capture a "show tech" and "show log" from the AP?
What's the firmware version on the phone?

I would agree that your suspicion is correct. Two wireless clients next to each other should receive ((approximately) the same RF signal level.
