Add NM-CUE into CCM Voice Mail

Hi

I've successfully added a new voice gateway into CCM.

I want to be able to add the NM-CUE card in this voice gateway into CCM so that certain specific users have their vmail boxes reside on the CUE.

We already have Cisco Unity for >200 users, but these specific users need to have their mailbox resdide on the CUE.

Does anyone know a good url where i can start in order to add the NM-CUE into CCM, and then configure the NM-CUE

Many Thanks

-Paul

Paul,

Take a look at the following links.

CallManager for Cisco Unity Express Configuration Example

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps5520/products_configuration_example09186a0080289ef0.shtml

Cisco Unity Express 2.3 Installation and Upgrade Guide

After configuring CUE and integrating with CCM, you can create another voicemail pilot/profile in CCM. The new profile can be assigned to the DNs of the users who need to access CUE.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.

Paul,

Remember to install the CCM license for CUE before integrating via JTAPI to CCM. If you have not purchased the license you need to get the following part number..

SCUE-LIC-XXCCM=

where XX=12,25,50,100 etc.

Thanks Brandon, Thanks Sankar

(I will rate)

I take it i need to get the correct software to register this CUE with CME

It appears I have a CCME licensed product (see below)

tk-se-1> sh software lice

Core:

- Application mode: CCME

- Total usable system ports: 6

Voicemail/Auto Attendant:

- Max system mailbox capacity time: 840

- Default # of general delivery mailboxes: 5

- Default # of personal mailboxes: 12

- Max # of configurable mailboxes: 17

Languages:

- Max installed languages: 1

- Max enabled languages: 1

Yes, that is correct. The license is either for CCM or CME integration. Your current license is for CCME. You will need to choose your verion of CUE from the following link and download the CCM license for the correct number of mailboxes.

I need to upgrade my license file from CCME to CCM for a new integration. I realize the licensing aspect. The question I have is do I need to reimage the NM-CUE-EC module for this licensing to take affect from CCME to CCM? Currently running CCME/CUE integration and CUE Version is 2.3.4. Upgrading CUE to 3.0 for CUCM 6.0 integration. Thanks.

John,

This change will require a reinstall. See the following link.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity_exp/rel2_3/install/upg_lic.html

Hope this helps.

Brandon

Brandon,

That's what I thought. Thanks for confirming.

John

Brandon,

Another question. Doing a reinstall is there ANY data I can keep intact with a backup when changing CUE license from CME to CCM. CUE module will be blown away from version 2.3.4 to 3.0.1. I realize VM messages cannot be restored. How about users/greetings/AA's/Scripts? Is this a way possible to restore? Thanks.

You can retain the scripts and prompts by saving them before reinstalling. To my knowledge, there is no way to save the other information such as users, greetings, etc.
