Alternate TFTP Questions

On my 5.1.3 system I put in an alternate TFTP address pointing to my 4.2 CM system which I have other phones on for the same location. I entered in the addresses as HOST://IP-Adress and then I restarted the TFTP service. When I have my phone hit that TFTP it is not hunting to the alternate TFTP. Am I missing something here? I read the docs and it said something about changing default path to TFTP or something.

Re: Alternate TFTP Questions

Hi,

You need to do 2 things to enable alternate tftp.

1. Scrll down to alternate tftp and press **# to change the setting fro No to yes. Then click save on the ip phone.

2. Scroll to your network configuration and look for the tftp ip address. You should see edit button activated on it fter performing step 1. Click the edit button and enter the ip address of your new tftp server and save, the phone will automatically reset and register to your new cluster.
