Analogue conversion

Hi all,

we currently have around a 20-80 split of IP phones and analogue phones. We are looking to go 100% IPT, we have the Cisco resources in place but lack the conversion between the two systems.

The link between the two is currently dependant on 2 very old Westell boxes converting the signals.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a more resilient system that wont let us down and allows for a large number of calls processed at the same time?

Thanks,

Jamie

Hi Jamie

You'll need to supply more info - typically in the UK we've used Westell iQ boxes as a cheap and reliable method of bridging between DPNSS (as common in the UK on older PBXs) and QSIG as supported by CCM. This may or may not be what you need depending on what connections you have available on your legacy kit.

Unfortunately Westell aren't around (at the moment).

Checkmate (http://www.checkmate.co.uk/) have a solution but it's expensive compared to the Westell boxes.

Regards

Aaron
