I need to configure an anouncement line. Users will call in, hear the greeting and then get disconnected. No ability to leave a message. The greeting needs to be able to be updated by someone calling the same number, pressing # and being able to re-record the greeting. Is this best accomplished by a Call Handler or a user with a voice mailbox?
As Rob said, you can go either way. Personally, I would use a Call Handler and set the after greeting action to "Hang Up". You would need to set the caller input for # to go to the Greetings Administrator. If there are multiple users that need to change the greeting and this is legacy Unity, then you can use a Distribution List with all of the users in it as the "Owner". In Unity Connection, you need to set each individual user with the Greetings Administrator role on their mailbox.
