Answer soft button issue

One of our end users brought this annoyance to our attention recently. He's using a 7960 with CUCM 6.1.1.2000-3. When he's dialing a number to make an outbound call and a new call comes in (during the process of entering the phone # for the OB call), the soft buttons (answer, iDivert) come up and he loses the # he was dialing and has to start the dialing process over again. Behavior has been verified on several phones (7960 & 7940). Anyone know how to change this CUCM behavior?

You can't change it, it's exactly the same thing that happens when you receive a call and are in the mid of a transfer. That's the way the system works
