Any way bulk update the line "Alerting Name"?

I inserted the phones with just "Display" only in the BAT without the "Alerting Name". Any way bulk update the "Alerting Name"?

Advise please,

You can use the Update phones feature and use a query file (CSV). You can create the CSV using the bat template that you originally inserted and add the Alerting Name column by clicking "Create File Title" button in the excel template.

We filed a DDTS for that like half a year ago.

We created a workaround.

As long as I connect to the office I will send it to you.

This is not TAC supported procedure due to a BAT limitation and SQL access is not Cisco supported.

Here is the DDTS: CSCeg27782 .

When trying to update Line Text Label or Display fields for existing phones.

We follow this procedure.

Create a .csv file

Which contain in the left side the DN and the right side the Value.

"3001","Manager"

"3002","Assistant"

"3003","Employee"

Insert it using Import and Export Data Tool under SQL Tools (Which also creates the Table

automatically for you).

update DeviceNumPlanMap

set Display = (select Col002 from BAT,NumPlan where DNorPattern = Col001 and

DeviceNumPlanMap.fkNumPlan = NumPlan.Pkid);

You may try it in your lab first.
