ASA Phone Proxy and 7940, 7960 phones

Anyone know when using the ASA phone proxy if 7940 and 60's can work without purchasing a security token from cisco.

Newer model phone come preinstalled with a MIC certificate but the older phones don't.

Everything points to needing a security token from cisco but don't want to purchase if not necessary.

Anyone have any thoughts on this/

You will need a security token for the 40/60 or any other first generation phone to work with Phone Proxy. This will also require CAPF to be installed on UCM.
