Any help would be much appreciated.
Does anyone know how to configure an ATA to dial a number upon pick up ?
The ATA is interfaced with a Viking 1000-B board that is hooked up to a security gate intercom. Upon pushing the intercom button, I have managed to get a dial tone, bt need this to instead go to a specific extension.

You'll need to investigate how to set up PLAR (Private Line Automatic Ringdown) on your call manager - CCM, CME, or Gateway.
Reference solution K87147415 in ciscowiki for a CCM example and a good explanation on the principles involved.

Hello, I am in the same situation as you. But a little less farther. I have a Viking 1000B and W3000 system. When I connect an analog phone line on the pin 4 and 5 of the Viking 1000B the phone rings. But when I connect it to an ATA, the line 1 is automatically lit up as green as soon as I connect the phone line from the analog phone to the Cisco ATA 187. Can you give assistance on you configured it before the PLAR? Thanks
