ATA

Can anybody tell me the maximum length of telephone cable that can run from the ATA device to the analog phone? we need to give an extension to the security point about 100 m away outside the building. fiber is costly though protect from lightning. so we are thinking about ATA.

Re: ATA

"It depends"... ;-)

Ring Load of phones (number of parallel phones on a RJ11- Port)

ATA:

-----

5 REN <= 61m

4 REN <= 305m

3 REN <= 518m

2 REN <= 762m

1 REN <= 975m

It also depends on cable quality.

We have some successful installations with cable length of about 100-300 yards.
