Re: ATA188 - Converting from SIP to SCCP

Here is a set of instructions for upgrading the ATA from SIP to SCCP.

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/voice/ata/ataadmn/sccp3_0/sccpaapc.htm

How to upgrade an ATA:

Manually:

Download the ZIP file from the following URL:

http://cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/ata186

Uncompress the files into a directory

Open the command prompt and go to the ATA files directory.

Type "sata186us -any -d1 ata_image.zup"

Go to the ATA, use the voice configuration menu, and dial: 100# ip_address_of_PC * port #,

the ATA must be previous configured with an IP address within the same PC IP address.

Using TFTP:

Look for the file named "atadefault.txt" open it and add the TFTP IP address under the

upgrade and tftp url field, save it into the ATA directory, and once you know the file is

saved, apply the following command from command prompt : cfgfmt -tptag.dat

atadefault.txt atadefault .cfg

A new atadefault.cfg file was created, save it into the TFTP root directory, along with

the *.ZUP image file.

Also make sure that when you upload the SCCP firmware into the ATA check the SCCP

Parameters and check the following parameters:

SID0: .

SID1: .

Note that there is a dot in the SID field, please change the ATA fields accordingly.

I hope this helps!
